Mauritania Railway Modernisation to Boost Mining Exports
Mauritania’s SNIM is advancing a major railway modernisation project to enhance iron ore transport from Zouerate to Nouadhibou and expand service to El Aouj and Atomai. The USD 512 million project, backed by the EIB, aims to improve rail capacity, safety, and environmental sustainability.
